Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She lived from January 31st, 1937 to January 19th, 2008. Pleshette began her stage career, and she appeared in films in the late 1950s. Later, she appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she was a part of various television productions, often in guest roles, and she played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer, who worked under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
