Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, host of the CNN's "New Day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. Camerota, who has been an journalist for 30 years, covered news stories as well as international. She received one Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford has been named as an honorary board participant after having served on the board for 7 consecutive years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who serves as the current chair of the Westport board following her time on it since 2013, is also the new board member. CzekajFarber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who has been the chair of the board since October 2015. She has continued to be a member of the board from 2006.
