Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Stone has three brothers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone, who was gifted in the classroom as a young child, began her second-grade education at age five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She also competed winning in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt relocated from New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in 1977. They signed up for an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a few months. After that, she moved to Europe and spent the whole year living in Milan as well as Paris. Stone became dissatisfied with the fashion business in Europe, and chose to concentrate on acting.
