Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress who is best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, and television. The actress Aunjanue. Ellis began acting in the theatre. Then, she appeared in television series as well as independent and mainstream films. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also won a lot of prizes. Her first professional performance was as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her part as a regular character on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
